Casing cakes after first flush?
    #440918 - 10/29/01 04:40 PM (22 years, 10 months ago)

If I wanted to case my cakes after the first flush as cakes, what precations do I need to take. After I clean the cakes off can i case them immediately, or should I place them back in the terrarium til they recover?

This is a work of fiction. I don't know anything.

Shroomerarium,

A FOAF is currently experimenting with the scenerio you spoke of. She made (3) casings, each from cakes that have already blown their first load.

Each casing comprised of two sliced/crumbled cakes put in between 50/50+ casing mix. She recently asked the same question and puscle told her it could be done. Well it's about 6 days after crumbling and she's got decent mylicea growth showing on two of the casings and the other has already been birthed to a light/humidified terrarium (because it was 1/3rd covered by mylicea growth coming through the top layer) Looks damn good so far. No signs of contams or smells. (She's crossing her fingers)

I'll keep everyone updated on her progress.
