Congrats on the horse poo!!! I also was able to find a local stable today that said i could just go fill buckets of of the horse poo(fresh) Could someone please tell me after getting the poo what do I need to do to it to get ready to mix it up with myc?
Any good poo teks out there?

goto a local greenhouse, get some flowers, and plant them in your yard, they'll just see you've taken up gardening..

You need to be careful with "stable" poo. I went to 3 looking for poo and none of it was usable. Way too much sawdust. Stable hands will use sawdust to cover the poo. All stables don't get cleaned everyday. When they do, sometimes the pile it goes in isn't just for poo but assorted trash and such.

MY stable uses straw instead of sawdust! I guess I'm a lucky dude!

Most use straw for bedding. They throw sawdust on the urine and poo to dry it up until they get around to mucking the stalls. Sometimes it can sit for days and get sawdust thrown on it a few times. Helps keep flys away.

Well, I've been having amazing luck with my stable poo.. And there is no visible sawdust in it, so.. I can not complain..

Thats cool. Just wanted to warn him before he gets a truck full,lol.
I wish one of the stables or tracks I went to had usable poo, would of made life much easier.

Did you try any of it? Mine has a good deal of totally anaerobically composted dung, so I imagine the sawdust that is in there is broke down enough to where it's just a good source of fiber, like the straw, it may even have a few nutes..

Nope, could see all the sawdust. Followed Agar's advice. Sawdust can contain resins detrimental to mycelium growth. Just keep looking till I found this,
