Hey, I am still kind of new to this and was wondering about contaminants. I am doing the Liquid Mycelium tek using malt powder. I have 2 of my jars that have one or two specs of of mycelium that have tiny black dots in them. I was wondering if this is actually contaminated b/c my spore syringe had these in it and I figured they were just a clump of spores or something. I would like to check your opinions on this and see in I need to trash these 2 jars.

the same thing happened with my honeywater turned out it was from the rust on my lid.

I hope that is what it is. I have noticed that they are not really growing so if they were contams. then they would be more prominant by now wouldn't they?
