Dum, de dum... I should really send this to someone to post. I've posted my liquid tek a few dozen times, but here we go again. It's very well experimented with, and works 100% if you follow it very carefully. (I've lost one beer bottle due to leaving the wick out for about 15 mins in the bleach down room, and once because my gf knocked it over, but that's it
)Okay, what you'll need:
Malt powder
Clear beer bottles
Cotton, preferably large balls
Alluminum foil
Glass shards (optional)
Piece of final substrate (optional)
Spore syringe/spore print/mycelia chunk
All optional items are highly reccomended.
The best way to use this method is with differentiated mycelia..., in other words dikaryotic mycelia that is nice and ropey. If you use this, then you will only have to incubate for 4-5 days max. Spore syringes/spores take longer, so have a lower chance of succeeding. (7-10 days) I have used this method with some of Ryche's spore syringes with great success.
First smash up the glass shards into small sharp pieces. This can be done by wraping them in a cloth and smashing them against something, or dropping them onto concrete from an upper story. (My personal favourite, but neighbors don't generally concur
)
Add some glass shards to each bottle.
If your going to add some of your final substrate do the following step, otherwise skip:
Take some water, boil it. Add some of your final substrate into it. Keep it at a *very* low boil for about 20 minutes. Strain out the substrate pieces.
Now take that water (or fresh water if you skipped that step) and add 4% malt powder by weight. (1Liter=1000g=1kg) Mix it up good and add it to the beer bottles.
Take some cotton balls and jumble them together into a big piece... bigger than the opening in the beer bottle so it is REALLY snug. Okay, now jam that into the opening in the beer bottle. (Sort of like a plug, but it allows air exchange!)
Put some alluminum foil over the top of each beer bottle so that water doesn't get into the cotton.
Pressure cook at 15psi for 30 mins.
Put it in your bleach down room, and let it cool for about 6 hours, re-bleaching every hour or so.
Have all your items in your bleach down room ready to go, and bleach down a final time, wait 10 mins for the air to clear while your outside of it with the door closed. Don your mask, and your newly laundered clothes. (Yes mushroom growing really isn't a hippie thing, hehe)
Enter the room. Remove the wick from the first bottle in such a way as to not have any human germs on the interior of the wick. Put the wick down on some surface with the interior part pointing upward. Innoculate the beer bottles with your choice of item. (Spore syringe, spores from print, or mycelia chunk) Cap it, and move onto the next one.
Once you have this procedure down to a methodical science, you will never fail.
Every 3 hours or so while your awake swirl around the beer bottles. You WILL EASILY be able to tell if they get contammed. But, NEVER drink this stuff. Its a very very stupid idea for a lot of reasons. And here is the most obvious one:
Psilocin and Psilocybin will NOT be produced by the mycelia until the very end of the cycle. Right before they fruit. So to drink this stuff would be ludicrous.
