Makes nosense, who told you that ?
The casing procedure is done AFTER cakes are fully colonized, and BEFORE they are colonized you use the mycelium sirynge, so i see no conection between a mycelium sirynge afecting a casing in any way. Anyone ?

Peace,
MAIA

"someone" I know really good uses liqiud to grow out his mycelium, brewer's malt with distilled water, slow boiled, allowed to cool overnight to room temp, innoculate with syringe, aggitate twice daily, 3 to 5 days you are on your way,
and from what I am "told", no failures yet.........

U just gotta remember that the liquid mix is REALLY optimal for fungus and bacteria growth, thats why u use it...but what this also means is you gotta be extra careful of contams...

Liquid Innoculates - as someone else here has said - work great for fast colonisation - like 250ml jars in 16/17 days from innoculation with Lipa Yai... I always hit each jar with some h202 to kill any dormant nasties, as liquid cultures can seem okay, but sometimes be full of contams
