I don't want to be put under, so I'm just getting some novacaine and N2o...hopefully the pain isn't unbearable.  I'm going to wear headphones so I don't hear the drilling.  One of the 3 teeth is up in the bone, so that should make for some interesting noise.

I had a dream last night that there were complications, and they rushed me out of the dentists office on a gurney, blood everywhere, and suffer was in the waiting room, panicking at the ER.  It was not pleasant.  :crazy:

wisdom teeth, or what? it's not that bad... just annoying for a few days afterwards when you have to go around like a poofy, sore chipmunk.

When I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I was on a Valium drip and nitrous, which knocked me the shit out. My experience was not pleasant after the novacaine wore off... for the next few hours, I was in extreme pain.

Fortunately, though, I've had the worst experience of anyones that I've heard. Mine shits were quite impacted.

Another time when I was a wee lad of 12, I had to get three teeth pulled and it was fantastic. "This is laughing gas," said the dentist as he was affixing the green mask to my face. "When you close your eyes, you'll see stars." This guy was a total goofball, and when my mom came in the room, he squirted her with the pressurized water thing they use to clean around your gums, and I started laughing my ass off.

During the operation, I remember hearing some song in the background... Whitney Huston's "Bodyguard"... it sounded like it was sung by some drug addict (a foreshadowing, perhaps) as it consisted entirely of "Wahhh Waaah waaah". I looked up at the dentist, and lo, his face disappeared, leaving only his eyes, eyebrows, glasses, and dentist mask. What the fuck? I looked at him in confusion and he raised his eyebrows. ah!

Walking out of the dentist's office, I was excitedly telling my mom how much I liked nitrous. "Oh no," she said. "What?" I innocently asked. "You're going to do drugs when you grow up."

I apparently have like 6 extra molars...my dentist looked at my xrays and told me I look like a shark :frown:

Luckily none of them are visible, or I'd look really scary  :smirk:

Keep in mind, I had 4 extra molars pulled when I was younger, and STILL have 6 extra.  Weird.

When I got the 4 pulled, they were regular molars, not impacted, but I got novacaine and n2o, and I remember the dentist holding the molar up in front of my face and me cracking up laughing, saying "HAHAHAHA it's a tooth!!!"

Hopefully this won't be too much worse.  And they'll give me percs. :yesnod:
