The dentist.

Oh man, my extreme fear of needles has kept me from the dentist for years.
But it's time.. My wisdom teeth are bothering me, and I have to go.
I'm scared shitless of the dentist. Mostly the needles though.

I'm afraid of needless more than anything. I'd rather walk through Compton with a "I hate blacks" sign on my chest, and a swa sticka on my back, butt naked, screaming "WHERE THE NEGROS AT?"

lol.

When I went in for surgery, they stuck me with the needle to prep me for the annestisia ( Can't spell ) and I passed out. One of the Dr's carried me to the operating room ( so they told me ) then put the annestisia in.

You'd think with all my tattoo's needless wouldn't be a thing, but for some reason, all other needless freak me the fuck out, and I pass out.

But, it's better I go now, then deal with a bunch of pain, and hillbilly teeth in 20 years.

Would it be okay to take my Klonopin before the dentist? Would that interact with the novacane?

My Dr said I can take up to 4mg of it, so I think I'm gonna take all 4, before I go if I can.

Ugh.

i wouldn't think that would be smart. id go stone cold sober. That anesthetic is not to be messed with.

i don't see why it would matter with the novicane, rather the anesthesia

dude u should really visit the dentist, or at least a cheap clinic, every 6 months.  u really dun want all that plaque built up on ur teeth, like on the inside bottom.  especially if ur kissing someone...

i just came back from the dentist man it was hell! The needles bothered me a lot before so i hadnt been to the dentist for a few years as well, but you just f*ck yourself by doing that, i went again last year and today has been the gazzillionst time in this year. I had so many pricks now i really dont care about them anymore, you really start wondering what you were so afraid off. Just close your eyes, pinch your thumb and you wont feel a thing. But the worst thing now is when they start drilling your teeth with the 'big drill' and your mouth is flooding with water. I bet waterboarding feels like that. Disgusting!! Anyway today was my last time, im done!

When I call I'm gonna ask about that. I think my primary insurance covers that, but I lose it when I Turn 21, which is  9 months away. Don't want to screw myself in the end.

On the bright side, they usually hook you up with some pretty good painkillers after you get your wisdoms ripped out :laugh:

I don't know man. Usually it's like that. But I also had an apex resection once, and that involved some injections just below my nose, right on the bone. That needle went deeper than I thought was possible. And it hurt like a motherfucker! Not comparable to the little pricks you get when they're drilling out a cavity.

They gave me pretty lame painkiller when they fucked up my mouth



They had to chizzle it out and all I got was something like paracetamol :facepalm: Fucking ex-communist doctors.

Here you only get paracetamol too, or an ibuprofen prescription (400mg doses) if you're lucky. No opiates/opioids. Ever.

A really dumb thing that I did was to smoke loads of weed. I must have been lucky cause my tissue cavity was OK in the end but everyone else told me that it could go dry and rot.

Yeah, I know, dry sockets, sucks apparently. I smoked after my oral surgery (3x) too, though.
