fucking hate the dentist.

So last year i got this root canal done and the dentist drilled a hole in my tooth and told me to come back a month later for the filling.
i fucking hate dentist's so i never came back and my tooth has gotten pretty bad but ive been filling the tooth with cotton but its starting to break and fall apart (the tooth that is).

So ive come to the conclusion that i need to go to the dentist before i loose the tooth all together but i fucking hate Novocaine and oral surgery in the first place and i would say ive developed a fear of it over the years. im thinking about asking for nitrous oxide when i get it fixed (if i can) and going on 5 or 10mg's of oxycodone.

sound like a good idea?

Just look for dentists that use it in your area, they usually advertise it.

Sedation dentistry is good for fear of dentists or local anesthetics. It doesn't help the pain afterwards though. And they are usually more expensive.

Nitrous oxide keeps up the smiles! well tolerated and as it is a gas is quickly metabolized by the body .. = fast recovery

Why so scared of the nova caine all it is is ....uncomfortable well he is going about in your mouth it doesnt hurt or anything so why the fear im scared of needles but getting one shoved in my gums for somereason doesnt scare me one bit.

the novacaine shot is more terrifying to me than normal shots.  i chalk it up to childhood trauma

too bad they couldn't use cocaine. Although that pink gel they swab on is quite similar but once the needle goes just a little deeper you feel it.

thats what most dentists are fighting thereafter...childhood traumas caused by former careless or too busy dentists to spare a moment to the child to introduce them into dentistry..slowly!

most children respond negatively on sight of scrubs / white coat
especially if they see you with an uncovered needle dripping anaesthetic solution..that's why they mostly hide all sharp instruments before entering someone's mouth..and that is the way to go if you dont want to cause trouble or awaken old traumatic experiences. doesn't matter how skilled you are you will face difficulties while working with traumatized people

and yes, xylocaine gels / spray as a surface anaesthetic works fine

Your lucky man, back in january i had 3 root canals in that month, and on the 3rd one the fucking dentist damaged my nerve in my lower lip, and it has been numb ever fucking since!

I don't mean to be a jerk, but seriosuly dude, man up. I'd have more fear of looking like a retard who didn't go to the dentist to fixed his fucked tooth than I would getting a quick, 5-10 second shot. Think about vagina or something while he is doing it.

i dont knwo what dentist your going to but the ones i go to give me more then enough anasthesia so that i dont feel shit. the only thing u feel is the initial needle in the gums, which yeah, that sucks but other then that its alright.

You should feel blessed that you have the option of going to the dentist, when so many do not. Stop being such a pussy and accept the gift of opportunity that you are forsaking. You don't even need to have your eyes open when the dentist starts with the novacaine process. It's 2 seconds of shock and pain versus years of discomfort.

So either get over this minimal fear, or be humbled by the cruel mortal lesson of having to watch your teeth rot out and crumble away like the rest of us unprivelaged.

And remember: if you'd manned up years ago, you wouldn't have been in this mess. Get your preventive check ups so any problems can be resolved in an early stage, which reduces any suffering by about 99%.

I'm almost positive I was traumatized by dentists as a child (not by their penis, fortunately)...

I get nauseaus just thinking of the sweet sickly smell of a dentist's office, or thinking of being strapped down on those chairs, with bright lights blinding my pineal gland.

To this day, I'll do almost anything I can to avoid going.. I'd rather huff gas or smoke meth.

I mean who needs teeth, when you've got drugs? :awedrugs:

Actually I do have memories of female assistants rubbing themselves up against me to try and ease my mind. Probably the only positive memory I have of going to the dentist.

Although it was hard to suppress my boners when I was that young.. my cock wasn't big enough to fit through my belt loop at that time.
