Win for Animal Rights Terrorists
    #4327694 - 06/23/05 08:20 AM (11 years, 9 months ago)

This is one area I would like to see Tony Blair step up the war on terror. These people can't get their way through the democratic process, so they engage in terror attacks. Planting bombs, arson, intimidation campaigns and abduction.
They are terrorists by the very definition of the word and should be hunted down and treated as such.

Animal-rights blow for drugs firm

Shares in UK drugs firm Phytopharm have slumped by as much as 22%, as investors feared attacks from animal-rights militants.
Canaccord Capital has quit as broker to the firm, after one of its bosses was the target of an incendiary device.

A website with links to the Animal Liberation Front said it had planted the device in May.

Activists want Phytopharm to cut links with Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), a prominent target of their campaigns.

Research firm HLS moved its headquarters to the US in 2001 after a sometimes violent campaign against its staff and property in the UK.

if there was ever a legitimate target for terrorists..it would have to be big pharm...but not so much because of the way they treat animals (which is bad enough) as they treat humans...

America's debt problem is a "sign of leadership failure"

We have "reckless fiscal policies"

America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.

Americans deserve better

But they are not targeting the company, they are targeting employees and their families, people.

And these employees did not even work for a pharma company. They work for a finance house that funds a company that uses the services of a company they have a problem with.

They wish to achieve their agenda by terrorizing people, rather than by legal or political means, this must not be tolerated.

These people should be found and prosecuted to the full extent that our terrorism laws permit.
