LA's parting gift to me

So it wasn't long ago that I left that awful place known as Hollywood. As a sending off present somebody down there stole (or purchased from a local shop) my debit pin, and while I was traveling withdrew my entire bank account. It's such a place that takes the humanity and dignity from people and makes them pathetic crooks like that. Nobody deserves to live there. Good ridance. I wish the best for the person who stole my money because I can't imagine any more miserable and pathetic existence than his.

How much did they get?

What else sucked about Hollywood?

Where: Idaho
How much:$2100
What else sucked: fake people, cut-throat job market, awful traffic, pollution, paying parking tribute, people that dress like ashley simpson

There were some good things: cool restuarants, lots of shows, big spiritual community and beaches

I think the the bad outweighed the good. Now that I'm gone I have so much more peace of mind, and I can actually communicate with other people whereas in LA it was like a totally different culture.

Hollywood is only good for shopping and shows. The people that live there suck and as you said, all dress like emos. My friend used to live there and was trying to get a job as a server at a restaurant. They make you give headshots with your applications because they only want to hire "beautiful" people. That just retarded.

Silverlake, next to hollywood is ok. it's LA's poor artsy district.

soemone from LA. LA is physically a beautiful place. hot woman, great weather, beaches, etc... but it's expensive. People do anything they can to stay here as long as they can. It's very surreal out here. People come out here either to play for a while or they're hoping for some sort of redemption.

I've had over a dozen friends from back home in Maryland all move to socal (la/sd which is all the same.. just a little more chill than LA). THey've all lasted on avg about 2 years.. then they give up and move back. It's extremely expensive/comptetitive/cut-throat out here.
