Adding H202 to grain before sterilizing?

I'm having problems with sterilized jars becoming contaminated. Would this work?

If I straight sterilized rye grain without the soak or simmer but added some h202 and then inoculated with an LC. I've read somewhere that h202 doesn't affect myc. but kills most others.

No, as H2O2 is decomposed when heated to the temperature of the pressure cooker(or even boiling for that matter)

Thanks for the scientific angle Anno, saved me some time.

How about if I included it in the soak? Would this kill some of the spores that I seem to be having problems getting rid of in the PC? The myc. takes to the grain but I seem to getting slimy brown contams after about a week.

What are your temps.. When my incubator gets too hot is the only time I get Bacillus.

You just need to sterilize longer.

So un-touched jars are getting contams? If so, you need to make sure your pressure cooker is getting hot enuff (do the water test, make sure that if you shake a wet hand at the pressure cooker, the water droplets vaporize pretty much immediatly). Also Like said above, try to sterilize for a longer time.
