Once a day max!!!! If you are like most people and can't resist watching everday, you can tell if they are stalling. I don't even fan them once a day, to be honest. More like 2- 4 times total over the course of their maturation. I just watch them grow for the most part. Fan once to stop them from running through the entire casing layer. Once after they pin, and once or twice as they develope. Just my 2 cents!!!! Fanning to me is waving a paper plate at them three or four times, per session. But I don't lay trays with four inches+ substrate!!!!!!!

"this guy" was just citing what Stamets wrote in "The mushroom cultivator". One shouldn't forget that Stamets was talking about a sealed room with maybe hundred big trays fruiting. My two cents are like the ones from Teonan, they don't need more than once a day in a normal terrarium... Elektrolurch

Just an idea to spare the manual labor of fanning... buy a couple fish pumps and cut a few holes in your chamber, cover the holes with filter patches (they're water tight, so you shouldn't lose humidity).
