It wouldn't have been as bad if you weren't almost double the speed limit...

You can't blame anybody for a squirrel getting hit. They run out half way, get scared hesitate and run out further, only to get hit. Birds on the other hand, I think that they fly infront of the cars for fun, I really do.

There was a motorcycle clocked at 300 kph in the long weekend blitz up here. I think once you reach the 300 mark, you no longer deserve a ticket.

Whats that equal to in mph about 160 or so?
The rule is now if a motorcycle is speeding to just let it go. Its not wurth risking lifes by trying to catch the dude. If he is going that fast he wont stop unless he hits something and kills himself or other people. They figure let him go and he will be out of sight and out of mind in moments.

Birds are fucking dumb.
I killed a owl once... I saw it flying around and I was like "oh cool a owl" and all of a sudden it dove right in front of my car and I heard a loud bang and my dad and I just looked at each other. A few hours later when we got to a rest area we had forgotten about it and I got out to stretch and I look at my front grill and guess who was there? It was Mr. Owl. God I was so angry... angry at this suicidal owl, angry at myself for killing a endangered species, angry for killing something in general. I was screaming obscenities at it and incoherent yelling something about how many licks while I was kicking it out of my grill. My dad thought I lost my mind.
I believe the soul of owl I saw dead and dying by the road side inhabited my body. But yeah... interesting story for those with nothing better to do.

i hit a screach owl once. Picked the poor thing up and brought it to a palce that takes care of injured birds of prey. A year later they called me and asked if i would like to pick the bugger up and realese him back to the wild where i found him so i did and it was very cool.
