new magick mushroom hydronic technique?

First just let me say that I know that mushrooms grown indoors are not grown hydroponically. But....I was wondering if it would be possible to build a long tray with a drip feed system coming out of spouts that are raised all along the interior. The mycelium would be case in this tray with the spouts in positioned all around and through the mycelium. Then use a nutrient rich purified water solution through the slow feed system. Would this not only keep the water levels up for the casing but also continue to feed the mycelial structure. I wonder if this worked you could just keep fruiting mushrooms from the same casing continously. What are your thoughts guys?

i dont think that the mycellium is going to eat any nutes fast enough to warrant a feeding system like that. but im a n00b

No. Wouldn't work like that,,,

Mushrooms aren't plants..

You would just see a bacteria bloom (as Agar would kindly call it)

Grow cyans if you're looking for stronger mushrooms.

how would it get infected? The valves will be well submerged in the casing micro-envirmoment and will be completly surounded by the well esytablished mycelium. If this is the case and the water is completly clean how can it contam? If time is the issue why not flud the casing layer with this mix for a pre determined time peroid and then drain the excess away through the bottom and repeat as neccesary. I know they have no roots per say but isnt the myclial structre the same thing for the mushrooms? Since that is where they draw there water + nutrition from.

no the mycellium is actually the living breathing organism, the mushrooms are just the reproductive cycle for them. listen to ignostic, he is telling you what would more than likely happen.

mycelium does not draw in nutrients like a root system. It grows on the medium, and then begins to ingest it. Its a much slower process.

yeah fungus are saprobes, they absorb there food in a much different way than root systems of plants.

i think the problem is that people think of mushrooms like plants(period) When in fact they are more like animals(period) just start thinking of them as liveing and breathing and you might begain to think that to make a room 72'x50'x12' with automatic foggers with nothing but tray and trays and trays of poop blocks ready for your spawn aaaa to dream a dream

its like those fat chicks that never move and they have to get there houses cut out .... mushrooms will grow big and fat if you give them enough food and perfect weather and leave them alone its a well proven fact that shrooms stop growing when you look at them (yes just like the elves mom would hang on the tree and tell you they are moveing about getting christmas ready so you turn your back real fast to see if you can see them move but you cant ) so give them enough food and water and weather and they will grow faster than you can imagin for something that started out as being microscopic

what about a flat cake of colonized bulk (just uncased bulk) partially submerged in water so that it never dries out. is the only issue then contaminates, or is this actually counterproductive in some way (oversaturating mycelium with h2o)?

also, what about spraying pure O2 into a grow chamber? it seems like it would be more beneficial than air, but likely not as cost efficient for the potential gains.
