liquor and arthritis

A couple times a year, for a few days straight, I get pains in my right hand. Just a throbbing annoying pain in my carpals. One of the things that triggers it is when I drink too much liquor. Anyone ever heard of something like this before.

I'm 25 and have been hackin' away on the keyboards since I was 10. Am I too young for this to be classified as "arthritis"?

But this is a serious forum so let me give you some advice. I don't have the whole liquor effect (or I don't drink enough to notice it), but I did have some pain in my wrist which went away as soon as I got a mouse pad with wrist support. My advice is to spend to $20 to set up an ergonomic work area. Can you imagine not being able to use a computer by the time you're 30? *shudder*

I used to have stiffness and occasional pain in my fore arms. More in the muscle than anything... that went away a couple years ago. This is more in my booones.. my achy ol boOoOOnes

I'll see what I can do about the pad

From what u've described, it sounds like your body is quite acidic, and thats why the pain gets worse after you've been on the piss, as alchol is very acidic to the blood.. I'd suggest you alkanilised your body by doin a course of barley grass, and maybe even stay on it for a fair while :smile:
