Inoculation Temp.

In the PF Tek it says "If this is done, keep the temperature around 70 degrees (don't overheat the jars - monitor the temperature with a thermometer). A warm overall house temperature is fine. But in the overall view, cool temperatures are never a problem. The rule is to not overheat." Which seems to me, to worry about not overheating, but I see lots of teks and others trying to keep the temp around 80 in the dark, which is better? I have a little cooler set aside that I can drop a fish tank heater in some water in, but wanted to make sure this is the proper method. Thanks in advance.

For incubation keep the temperature at around 86 degrees or the low eighties. For fruiting keep the temperature below eighty , somewhere in the range of 72-76 degrees you should be fine. Jars will colonize good at lower temps (70's) but the time to colonize takes longer. :smile:bluhoney

Whats a good way to heat them up to 86?

My room is only 76 and my casings are colonizing fast... but not as fast as they would at 86.

My terrarium is occupied right now.
