Temp. hazard - help!

Well, this morning i installed above my terrarium (aquarium inside a closet) a 40w light bulb to initiate pinning on my casing, the light bulb is regulated with a potenciometer(spp?) and set to half its full bright, when i cameback after 4 hours the termometer was raised above 90F, note that i had a air pump running all the time and the terrarium is not air tight.
1- I will go buy a colder light bulb, sounds like i should have anticipated the extreme heat that shit will produce !DUMB ASS!
2- What consequences could i have done to my casing? It looks allright to me!
3- What do you do when you have overlay ? Would adding more top layer material make it pin ? I'm getting fucking tired of watching that white stuff grow but still no dicks will erect, what masturbation method would you recomend ? I did a 6 hour cold shocking inside the fridge yesterday BTW.
Thanks & peace,
MAIA

As long as you didnt get it over a 100 degrees you should be fine. Yes on your answer for a different light. Try a fluoresent, much cooler. To get rid of over lay, take a fork( sterile of course) and rake the top layer off. Cover with a fresh coat of casing. Plain verm works fine. Im a mushroom girl, not a porno chick so your on your own with the masturbation.LOL Just kidding, I assume you ment your fruits growing. You may want to either increase or decrease your humidity, and if possible, put the tray near a window so it can get true sunlight.

Hi MAIA
I used a very weak florescent tube above the terrarium, only 7W inside my closet and it was fine to initiate pinning.....best of luck !

For that exact reason I use all florescent. For my excess heat I use one (maybe two: 1 for each side) incandescent light on the outside of the terrarium and turn it off and on as needed (I use a 60w). it'll heat up the terrarium nicely, at least it has for me.
like honey said, you'll be ok. The mycelium isn't dead. I believe temperature varies from strain to strain, but my P.C. Cambodia reaches thermal death at 106. Then again it fruits at 93 so it likes heat alot. :-)

patience, they will come,. just may take a bit of time. Best thing to do, is if your like me and keep lookign in on em every hour or so to see if grown much, is to DON'T try leaving them for about 12 hours before looking in, after couple days you'll go WOW where did all this come from :)
