when he came to do the door

but as he turned around
i shot him to the ground

a lil freestyle

Flashing multicolored spotlights no sense of rhythm or reason and here they come the changing of the season
Keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times, clickety clack, a crooked track, open so you can feel the wind, invigorating, heart pounding blood pumping Smile damnit, and don't be afraid to leap, to dive, headfirst from the car and fall, hands, countless attached indirectly to eyes and mouths smiling in love and awe and compassion to guide the plight of pillow, in the end you can rely on yourself alone, stagnation never leads anywhere,, its a sickness, so Leap into the great wide void, for Christ's sake leap!

i dreamt of a place where we sat quietly amid a rushing mass of irrelevent interaction, but i held you, and i'm lying on a beach in soothing rhythmic surf under early morning sky.

Here is a rant I wrote for a certain Piscies in my life that I love, It was done about 10 months ago, at a very trying time for me, a bit of a transitional phaze.


Two dimes fall from your pocket like rain falls on a mountain
Rain falls from a cloud
Clouds of unknowing consume souls which know of the life being had by mountains of holy existance
existance is something not to be played with by minds that can not concieve of a thing besides the fate of their own sinking being falling into a hole empty without a thought of light
light that only shines upon beings of darkness to consume thier hearts inside a shell of your design
you constructed this shell to hold me in
know I struggle to break free of the binds and chains most others call me
I am defined as restraint and all the while we can't give a shit about holding back a solumn thought
so share all that is you being another ripple in an ocean or pond
lake of laughter
bliss and pleasure
come as friends baring gifts as to please in ways material and unreal
is there a single soul among us who knows what real is
who knows what it truley means to exist in the first place?


My style of poetry is certainly not traditional, love it or hate it, it's how I write, and I think beyond the sometimes weak delivery it can say alot with a few words. Hope someone digs it.

I feel sad that this thread is not as active as holy crap louis regarding the televison show "family guy" or a slew of others that I don't feel like mentioning.

Post your poetry, we know you write and we are not here to be judgemental, none of us are quite revolutionary at the medium yet. Let's get some words here. Poetry is a blessing for all of us, even if it is relativley weak, I'm quite sure we are all or at least most all of us are amatures. Let it flow! I love reading it, and I doubt I am alone on this. :smirk:

I liked what you wrote. I've had my addictions with many things, while coke has not been a major problem for me, I have had my issues with it. I love to get amped, it's rare that I turn down a line. I know I need to lay off the stuff but I don't, and always wish I did. You are a strong person if you can leave this substance behind after haveing a dance with it. It's not easy.

I'll slit the throat of every emotion.
Making damn sure that I'm heard.

I love this simple line, it says alot with few words, which is what I look for in poetry, it's powerfull, It evokes passion, everything good writeing should be.



Sad to think its come to this.
After everything I'll surely miss.
Nothing more than your sweet face.
This is more than I can take.
Yet I seem to stumble on.


I like the transition from the "miss" line to the 'nothing" line. In the way I precieve it, it takes two points and puts them together to make a third, which is a major direction I take in my own writeing. Don't know if you intended this, but the effect was made, and I like it.

I can relate to this whole rant here. There was no child involved in my case but regarding the most serious love of my life I could write somethign simillar. Man I thought this girl was going to be with me forefever, and it was so short lived. I don't buy into the idea of a "soul mate" but if there ever was one for me I know exactly who it was. She made me happier than any one I've ever known, at the same time, she has provoked more furry and strife in me than anyone I have ever known. I see alot of love and frustration in what you wrote above, and I can really feel that.

This is a big part of why I love poetry, and why I think this thread needs to be expanded upon.

afterall, I'm not the only one who feels around here.  :wink:

The girl I wrote about in that poem is the ONLY woman who could ever make me feel like I was the biggest piece of trash in the world to the point where I wanted to die. Then in the next moment make me feel like I was god.





this was an identical experience for me. verbatim, how it was.
Recindiling is a realllllly long shot, and I'm trying to move on instead of hope for that. She has herself a man who she is happy with, thinking about getting maried and having kids, actually, and I can't get ahold of her anymore. we split while we where on maui, which was suposed to be a romantic fantisy for us, but after a couple months turned pretty shity. She eventually found someone she could be happy with, (which I am glad, truth be told, we were not exactly good for eachother, and I'm just happy to know she is doing well) and I left the islands to come back here to the mainland. Last I heard she went to kauai and they are homeless and everything, so it's pretty much imposible to contact her. I'm moveing on, and yeah, it's a motherfucker, as I've never met anyone else whou could look me staright in the eye and tell me to my face exactly what I was feeling, thinking, and about to do, and I don't expect I will ever encounter that again, but It's gone, and I have to keep truckin'. So all is well that ends well. I'll end up with who I'm supposed to be with as will she, things are not terible for me now, though not desireable, everything will get better in time.

As Bjork so efectivley stated in her tune, "all is full of love"!

I belive this, all is good, I'm feeing great and sending love to all who want to recieve it!

I wrote this one a while ago


when i think of all the beautiful things in the world
and I try to put them into words
i can write and write and write
yet words are not enough
i imagine your face
your mind and your heart
everything that is, was, and will always be
is outlined in your eyes

so when i look around and see a flower
and blue sky, a shining star
the void in everything is filled
with your love

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.
