Ok so I have a few questions for you, and the results are supposed to show the diference in mentalities of Occidentals vs. Orientals.
Just read each question out loud, and then answer it out loud, and go on to the next question.


What's the opposite of exterior?



What's the opposite of good?



What's the opposite of death?




hehe, you answered life to the last one didn'tcha? Well that was a trick question, because the opposite of death is birth. Death is part of life, they are not contradictary.

According to some researchers, in the Occident, practically everyone answers "life" to this quesion. Whereas in the Orient, you get a majority of people answering "birth".

This has to do with the type of society we live in, where death is viewed as a sad thing when really it should be viewed as the accomplishment of life, like it is in the East. Over there, they don't have the culture of mourning the dead, they don't have sad ceremonies where everyone is dressed in black. They just get together and burn or burry the body.

I just thought it was interesting to point out the differences of the perception of death in the world.

those aren't true opposites though. They're two sides of the same coin, instead of actually opposing coins.
