Thanks for the quick response. I found that site also. However, when I click on the links of that site, it says "under construction". They do not seem to be offering pereskiopsis currently, although they do provide information about the plant.

I should have defined my question better . . . I was hoping to get a few of these plants. All that I have found is between $5-10 per plant.
By the way, is this plant illegal in the US? I can't seem to find a local provider.

Pereskiopsis is legal everywhere, unless perhaps some places consider it a noxious weed. But it's not commonly sold because it simply doesn't have much appeal to the general market, it's only good for grafting. I seem to remember that some guy called Bob Smoley in the US sold it..? That's the only name that springs to mind for you guys over the pond.

If you are in the U.S.:

Bob Smoley's Gardenworld (www.bobsmoleys.com) sells them for $1.50 per cutting with a $20 minimum order. Mesa Garden (www.mesagarden.com) sells them for $3.00 per cutting with no minimum order. They are perenially listed on eBay. Currently one is selling for $8.00.

Pereskiopsis is commonly traded. Ask around and you shall be rewarded.

Thanks for all of the help. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for all of the people who have offered trades also . . . unfortunately, I don't have much to trade. I have a bunch of loph w. seedlings, but they are too young too trade.

FWIW... as far as I know Bob Smoley still has a couple month long waiting list on pereskiopsis. I believe he recently moved to a different state. Your best bet is to trade for a couple. They multiply so friggin fast you'll have many more than you know what to do with in no time.

Are there any places in Canada(or USA who will ship here) to get this plant? Very few places want to send plants to other countries, and I'd sooner not order from overseas. Maybe I'll have to do the eBay thing, or does anyone here have any extra pereskiopsis kickin around they want to trade? I don't have much to trade though, a few different entheogen seed packs, PM me.

How are these things for growing from seed, and where might one find these?

I have 10 unrooted cuttings on the way...

cxan anyone tell me the best way to plant?

regular soil?
cactus soil?
they need almost no water?
water like a reg. plant?

Just want to ensure I plant them right
so I can take more cuttings in the future.

also not exactly sure of the speciese i'm getting. got it off the magic world of ebay...

I have pereskiopsis cuttings if anyone wants to trade for them. They are very easy to take care of, hard to kill really.

When in leaf, they will take as much water as you throw at them.

They are not picky about soil mix, though I've found they grow better in a well-drained mix.
