Cultivation Timing
    #4055223 -

Cubensis B+ strain

1. Inoculated 9 jars in early January
2. Never pinned, but birthed anyway Feb 28.
3. It's been almost 2 months since birthing, the cakes are not contaminated, humidity is 90%+, I fan twice/day, and although I have dozens of tiny (less than 1/4" tall) shrooms growing on each cake, they won't mature (they've been stuck at this size for a couple weeks)!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Should I just trash the batch? I know it's not supposed to take this long, but without contamination, I can't see why to give up...

THANK YOU

For starts: Its April so its taken 2 months up to now. WHich is way too long.
do the "tiny shrooms" (i.e pins) have reddish or blackish brown heads? The last one means they are dead.
Abortion (dead pins) can be caused by spraying directly onto the pins when getting up humidity after fanning. Could this be an issue? Otherwise, maybe your humidity isnt at 90% all the time. Do you have a humidity meter?
Please elaborate.

Heads are light brown and look healthy, humidity meter reads 93-95%, have a spray/condensation shield, so probably no water on the pins directly. I know 2 months is way too long, that's why I'm baffled...

Thanks for the feedback, Jazz.

My guess is that the cake is running low on nutrients and/or water. It took forever for them to colonize and you didn't even do a dunk after that? My cakes colonized in two weeks and they seemed dry, I can't see your cakes having very much water in them at all.
