Grain+Straw+Dung: Quick question for all you experienced growers out there...

My friend's lizard pasteurized mixture of straw/dung 24 hours ago. He was expecting to have two jars of rye fully colonized, but they are just slightly away from being fully ready (have shaken them twice--still some grain visible however). Which is a better option: To wait to spawn until fully colonized and risk contams in the straw/manure, or spawn now, and risk contams from not fully colonized grain?

If it were me, I would just play it safe and wait til the grain colonizes,then just repasteurize the poo

If straw/dung is in a tightly sealed plastic bag, it is good for a few days.

If the jars will not get to 100% in that time. I would repasturize the substrate when the jars are good to go. BTW, you should give jars a day or 3 past what looks like 100%, to be sure it is 100%.
