Unique Dung Spawning Question..

Ive been taught not to waste things and im quite reluctant to throw out cakes that are done producing. I have an idea to: take a cake or two from my terrarium, cut off a small layer of the outside of the cake, soak for a day in a mason jar filled with a weak h2o2 and water mix, prepare an oven bag of pastuerized cow dung, remove and strain as best as possible the cake[s], mix with dung in bag under semi sterile conditions. Would this be a productive method? Are there any unseen problems i would run into? Thanks for any responses..

well since cakes (and casing for that matter) stop producing when there food or water source is depleted, then by spawning dung you are giving it the nutrients it needs to grow (colonize your dung) and develop and support the beautiful fruitbodies that are the majic of our lives.

i would make the h2o2 solution VERY weak, though.
