I will never get enough of this species, this batch was sooo fucking potent!! :) wooo hooo! Hehe. If any of you mushroom hunting junkies wants to come down and pick these mushies with me, just let me know and I'll take you picking :) So far, 3 people have visited the lizards patch, and more are invited.

Anyways, I'm drunk as usual :) I'll quite rambling and post some pics already :)

Alright a few descriptions and comments on the pics, in order:

pic1: Look how blue this cap is, you can see the psilocin in it!! :)

pic2: a nice group shot

pic3:another group shot at a slightly different angle.

pic4: showing the partial cortinate viel of Ps. weilii.

pic5: This mofo was bad to the bone, one potent SOB!! :)

pic6: This mushroom was picked directly from a rotted log, notice the wood still attached to the base of the stem. Weilii is definitely lignious.

pic7: Same mushroom growing from the rotted log, you can see the log in this picture.

ok, i se whats going on, these mushrooms have a fine protective web of mycelium encasing the pins, as the caps grow the web is stretched and turns blue from the damage incured. weilii truly is the growing pains shroom :)

LK, the only two words that seeing those shrooms brings to mind (other than this whole sentance of course) is "awesome" and "totaly-gnarly" <- one word.

Ditto with what "cardboard" said.Damn LK,those things grow large.Finding that one actually attached to the log, that's awesome.Definitely helps with understanding what these bad boys need to grow.
I have got to get down there one day and see these things, and you, in person.Hell,you can blind fold me,put me in the trunk of a car and drive me up and down the street to confuse me,then take me to the patch.I don't even necessarily want to pick one,just see one of these growing : ) Damn,what a cool and magic looking mushroom.
Couple of questions for you;How long do the weiliis hold their potency after drying,and what's the freshest you've ever tried one?

I promise you will one day pick a weilii, doo! Whenever you want.

The weilii seem to hold their potency extremely well, and their weight as well. The don't shrink up much, and 3 dried grams of em looks like what 1 gram of cubies would look like, but the weight is still there, the mushrooms just retain more mass in drying. I also believe they have a high psilocybin content, and a somewhat lower psilocin content, which would explain why it retains it potency so well and doesn't stain extremely blue(it does stain a considerable amount though)

How fresh have I eaten them? As I pick them :) I have fresh ones in the fridge right now, I hate having to dry them out, they are much more potent fresh :) I'll end up keeping a dose in the fridge a week or more just to eat them fresh.



I know mitch, I haven't forgot, dude has actually lost interest in mushrooms after a few too many rough trips :) I don't even worry bout him anymore. I shouldn't have made an invite, I'm not inviting just anyone, when I said mushroom hunting junkies, I meant all you folks who are regulars here and are trusted. I love sharing with people, but I'm not a dumbass :)

Woah dude, I hope you're not talking about me. I am definately still interested in mushrooms, just havent had any rain in like 2 weeks. I just got home from a week long college tour with my school, and the Pan subb. patch is like one big solid rock of dried grass clippings... sucks some ass. I didn't get those storms you guys got a week ago :\ And WTF happened to fall. I was loving the 70s. Its been hot as shit these past few days :P

well damn LK even if you dont let me come downt there and hunt with you i think i might just have to come hunt down the weilii anyway because it seems to be a very interesting mushroom and is not as common as the dung lovers..do they fruit well in the spring? i have vacation then..

some say the end is near some say we'll see armagedon soon..certainly hope we will..i sure could use a vacation from this stupid shit.

Naw, I wasn't talking about anyone here at the shroomery. I was talking about a friend of mine(kind of a friend). I let him in on my patch last year, and he started trying tp pick all the mushrooms before I coulld. I was having to sneak in the patch and actually hide mushrooms under leaves and sticks so he wouldn;t find them first. Anyways, this person has lost interest in mushrooms and no longer picks my patch so he is not a worry.

I was definitely not talking about you gumbydude, you still more than welcome to come pick some weilii this year :)
