GREEN/BLACK TINT GONE???
    #396683 - 09/17/01 02:05 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

I THINK I HAVE A CONTAM IN TWO OF MY JARS BUT I CAN'T REMOVE THE LIDS TO TAKE A WIFF. I CHECKED ON THEM FRIDAY AND NOTICED A BLACK/GREEN TINT OVER PART OF THE WHITE MYCELIUM (NOT ON THE SUBSTRATE) SO I SEPERATED THEM FROM THE OTHERS. WELL WHEN I CHECKED ON THE TWO JARS ON SUNDAY I DIDN'T SEE WHERE I HAD SEEN THE COLORS AT. BUT I AM POSITIVE OF WHAT I SAW ON FRIDAY THATS WHY I SEPERATED THEM. BUT NOW THEY LOOK FINE. AND WHEN I SEPERATED THEM ON FRIDAY THEY WHERE ABOUT 40% COLONIZED AND IN TWO DAYS THEY ARE NOW 90% COLONIZED!ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR GETTING MY LID UNSTUCK SO I CAN A WIFF?. THIS IS MY VERY FIRST BATCH AND I DON'T WANT TO DISTURB THE TOP LAYER OF VERM IN MY JARS. WHAT DO I DO? ANYBODY EVER HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING? (THE COLOR GOING AWAY I MEAN)
THANX IN ADVANCE
