Dangerous Green Contams?

I know that it is not reccomended to eat fruits from a contaminated casing, but I'm most likely going to anyway. A small patch of green appeared on the surface of my casing, when I cut it did not go deep at all and was only in a few spots. I understand there are quite a few green contams, my question is does anyone know of a particular green contam that could make you especially sick or have other health complications?

Bluish-green to green molds are usually Penicillium or Aspergillus. Black to brown-black molds can be Aspergillus niger, Alternaria alternata, Cladosporium herbarum, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, or Stachybotrys chartarum (a highly toxic mold). Reddish or pink molds are usually species of Fusarium. All black mold is not necessarily Stachybotrys. It could be non-toxic black mold.
Regarding Penicillium and Aspergilus, one of the mycotoxins, aflatoxin, is produced by this two fungi. Four different aflatoxins, B1, B2, G1 and G2, have been identified with B1 being the most toxic, carcinogenic and prevalent and associated mostly with Aspergilus.
I believe Penicillium is quite harmless if you're not allergic to it but there are some green Aspergilus species which can make you very sick.
In your case, if the contamination didn't spread and you managed to control it, then you should be ok. It would be a good idea to break the casing and see if anything was growing on the inside. If it was, it would be safer if you toss the mushrooms.

Thanks a lot for the detailed response man. I cut out an area around the green to see if it was all the way through, but it appeared to only be on the casing layer in one small spot. I believe all the fruits were already grown before the contam even got started....I'm willing to take the risk. I'm pretty sure it's not lethal lol.
