How can i Unclump spores??

My syringes have one big sticky clump of spores each in them, how can i spread them out better?


i heard i can suck up some air so i will be able to shake it, but wont that effect sterility?

any suggestions? i need help because these clumps are annoying

Shake it.
If the syringe doesn?t have any air in it, then suck 1 ml of air into it, if that diesn?t work, first squirt 1 ml of water out, then 1 ml of air in, then shake.

I had the same problem once...it's bitch!
I held the syringe at an end(which ever end you like). Then I let the spore's settle to the bottom, and started to flick it with my finger. Then grab the other and let them settle and do the same thing. Worked for me. It broke up most of the clump...not all....but alot about 90%.

A Friend got some spores frome T.H.E. They were bunched up a lot, and all he did was shake the hell out of them. He also used the flicking method, and this worked well enough to break up the big clumps. He has growth in all of his jars now so must have worked.

How about when they are stuck to the side...i got a syringe with tons of spore stuck on the side shaking wont get them off i dont think there are any free floating just looks like a very very thin crust on the sides...im gonna wait till i fininsh the glovebox and maybee open the syringe backwords(pull out the plunger) and toss something sterile(maybe glass) in there to aid in getting them scraped from the sides...

If you are worried about sterility(and this is a good thing to do), then suck the air in the syringe while holding the needle in the flame of an alcohol lamp. This way you will suck in sterile air.
