Growing Shrooms

I have everything I need to grow my own mushrooms, minus the syringe. Is there any other way of getting the spores into the jars? Would it work as well as a syringe?

It really would be best to order a syringe soyou can have a almost fool-proof method and almost guarenteed success. Cutting corners is not recommended as it will waste time, substrate and cause a lot of frustration.

If this is your first time or you are still new to the hobby, I would use the syringe. Less chance of contams.

what reason is there for putting the jar lids rubber up,
is it just so its easy to unscrew, is there more to it?
