want to grow shrooms

im just wondering if anyone has ever used a heating pad to regulate the temp to 75 - 85 degrees. if u have please tell me how it went cuz the only place i can grow them in my house is about 65 degrees so any suggestions?

many people have done this, just keep an eye on it because theyve been known to fluctuate into high ranges. low is the way to go.

If they are left on the "hot' setting they can supposedly overheat and start a fire. Never had this happen to me though. I used a heating pad once and the colonization times were a little faster than normal. If the air temp is 65 then you should definatly use a heating pad or aliens heating Tek.

whats the alien heating tek? my parents might get a little pissed if they found out i wans growing shrooms but burning down the house in the process might tick them off.

btw, i wouldnt grow ANYTHING w/out my rent's permission- you really should wait to grow up and get a place of your own. that way, if you get caught- youll be losing YOUR house, and not placing your parents in danger of losing theirs.

ok thanks for the advice. but really how am i gonna get caught by the cops? spores are legal arent they? and truthfully i dont even think my parents would care about me growing them. the only thing i could think of is if i buy a grow kit off the web and even then its in a plain box and crap.

I keep a heating pad on 24/7. I just set it on low. It's been working for a year now off and on and I haven't burned down my place yet.....

spores are legal, sure. but you werent asking about spores, you were asking about cultivation, which is illegal. (btw, spores *are* illegal in CA & GA). if they dont care, ask them, ask if theyre willing to lose their possessions for you... how to get caught? great question... who knows. but you take that risk, and personally i dont think thats fair to the rents.

i have read alot of posts about this topic,
is it "hear-say" that the house will be reposessed if caught cultivating it?
if some one has a link, to prove other than "hear-say" can someone post it?

hi 40, many states/vicinities have *property seizure laws* which, in felony cases, can cause the forfeiture of property to the state. (im actually searching lexis & westlaw right now for a breakdown of where theyre enacted... may take me a day or so).

but i know that close to home, in oakland, they have enacted property seizure laws for specific crimes and not just general felonies (prostitution). johns' cars are impounded when caught w/ a hooker- and the state does not require even a conviction to do so. (this is going to head to the appeals courts, im sure, but for now, its the law of the land. on the other hand, sf recently stopped the practice of impounding/seizing johns' cars... ) anywho, im looking for specifics on felony seizure/forfeiture laws... you do hear of them mainly when drugs are concerned though.

damn, looks like ill have to update my lexis & westlaw passwords for the summer. argh! anyways, start here for info on forfeiture laws... really informative (and scary) site: forfeiture endangers american rights (FEAR)- their law section has a compilation of forfeiture laws & statutes.

im sorry this went off topic.

If all you are growing is a few jars for yourself, they will not confinscate your parents house. Maybe if you had a big operation and it was obvious you were trafficking.
And there is no way you will get caught anyways unless you blab to the wrong people.
Don't let these paranoi mongers scare you away, its a great hobby enjoyed by thousands.
