Of course

We all pretty much post our own philosophy, some get influenced more by some traditional philosophy, some less, some never even heard about most stuff comming from traditional philosophy and religion, and some just get inspiration from that.
A few are actually promoting religious viewpoints as they are interpreted by "masters" from that field, but I think it is not that common here.

all In all I think this is a pretty creative community, it may not be moving anywhere as far as I can see, but it is trying and it is original

but anyway, it would be awesome if everyone was original like that. One thing that i would love to see here are the insights people get when they are tripping. Like mental trip reports. I posted one before, it was called "the cerebral part of my trip".

Self-Honesty.

Brutal self-honesty.

It is indeed a gem to be treasured by many, and yet it is also a lump of coal to be buried, avoided and hidden for many others.

Not too long ago, I finally culminated the cultivation of courage to be bold. Bold with myself that is. Where there was once an intricate and complex maze of mind-playing games, there is now just an empty field with a clear view of the looming sky and horizon.
I decided I had enough. Enough of it all? of emotional turmoil, however slight, or turbulent.
I bravely stepped forth, and admitted to myself and to her, that I was but a mere puppet, pulled by the strings of lust, desire, fear and attachment? of which strings were controlled by the puppet master of the ego.

Evidently, I was playing games with myself, resisting that these attachments and feelings were developing? and for many superficial reasons as well. What was resisted, persisted. Underneath the surface, we both knew that ultimately, there was most likely nothing for us in the store of fate. Yet, we both mutually clinged to each other, to release our unconsciously-driven urges, our egoic demands of satisfaction to which there is no end. The convincing disguise of ?genuine, innocent love? was cleverly orchestrated, with a veneer of self-reservation tainted with the contradicting aura of mutual promiscuity was placed over the core of animalistic, shallow desires and fears.

After boldly bringing the truth of the matter to light? there was the gradual decline in what used to be a neurotic mountain of thought invested in her.
Being brutally honest with me brought the truth to the surface, and with it, all of the admitted roots of suffering. Then it all just?. Dissipated!

The result of such raw honesty is that I simply let go. I was released from the prison of delusions in which is caged by bars that only have strength when they are resisted, denied, and ignored.

And the beautiful irony of it all: Now, there is actually true, ?disinterested? love for her, as a human being ? not as some means to an personal end.


Genuine self-honesty... try it out - if you're brave enough...

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.
