When's the best time to plant in the midwest? Should I start planting now, so they'll be ready for the fall? Or should I wait untill fall to plant?

i guess you could plant now, but supposedly early spring is the best time. But i have also heard that throwing them over the last snow as it just begins to melt is an excellent time to plant as well.
