Rice hull compost usage?

Have any of you ever tried cultivating using rice hull compost as a substrate?

I had never even heard of it, before I saw it advertised for sale in today's paper. It's pretty cheap, so I think i'll give it a try. Maybe it would be good for oysters.

Did you call & question the folks about it. 100% rice hulls? Other ingrediants?

I successfully used uncomposted, pasteurized rice hulls to grow oysters-- they loved 'em. No supplements used, just spawned at a high rate with colonized rye.
