syringe question

hey y'all. i'm a lucky gal who has access to an abundance of fresh syringes and a laminar flow hood. does anyone out there think i need to sterilize my syringes by autoclaving or boiling or something even if i can open them fresh inside of a flow hood?

As long as they are in the sterile packing when you open them no If they have been opened or used then yes autoclave or pc them

If you bought them "guaranteed sterile", then there shouldn't be a problem. Sterilize them as a precaution if you want...

You only PC them if they are empty, meaning they have no spores in them. If you get a syringe from a vendor that has spores in them, don't PC them, as this will kill the spores... (Common Sense)

Syringes heat up much faster then the inside of a jar.
20 minutes in a pc is sufficient, but you can allways do more....

New fangled backdoorman - make sure you have some water in those when you PC them, say half full...and reassemble them while still in the pressure cooker and hot steam...
