the taste of the shroom is definately directley conected to what they are grown on. mine that are grown on brown rice flour and vermiculite taste great, ones grown on cow pies taste like.. well.. shit!

I wouldn't say I love the taste of shrooms....but they aren't as bad as everyone used to tell me they were (back before I had tried them).
I'd say they're pretty bland.

I love cooked mushrooms in brown gravy , ummm -
but as far raw mushies, i like to mix em up with cashews, or some kind of nut, to hide the flavor. You know that flat, farty, old pork rind flavor we have all come to know and love. But, hey man, rock on if youse likes 'em! - DCC

i like the tasted of fresh, i have yet to try dried - that'll change this weekend though

There are a lucky few who actually like the taste of psilocybian mushrooms, but I'm not one of them 
To me fresh shrooms are simply disgusting, dried shrooms are much more palatable because they aren't as big and juicy and it's thus easier to hide the taste in another food such as -- my favorite -- peanut butter. The last time I tried to eat mushrooms straight I very nearly puked them all up and wasted a whole week's worth of cultivated shrooms...

Yah the taste isn't that bad..
Last time i popped shrooms about 4 months ago, I did just about 3 grams of dried cubensis, they tasted and smelled pretty bad so my girlfriend cut up some pineapple and please believe that is almost masks all of the bad taste.
I think pineapple, and possibly im thinking watermelon, are two of the best things for hiding that bad taste..
