i heard there was things you can do to excersise and expand your mind for a better trip.. like i heard there a books you can read(i think "doors to perception" is one) or things you can listen to to
enchance your trip when you are taking shrooms... is what im saying true and if so, what are they???

yea i understand what you are saying, im thinking of the same thing but a little different.. for example, the first time my friend did shrooms he was
not seeing much, but when i told him what to look for, like the trees moving around, he becan to see it a little

ah yes, the "power of suggestion". when your minds "filter" of information gets removed, much more information is available in your mind, and this includes outside forces.

yeah i wonderd about that too, i mean in the trip faq or whatever it talks about 'loading' where you do shit to prepare for your trip, like i dunno, watch a crazy movie or yeah read a whack book, and supposedky the images/ideas you fill your mind with can affect the type of trip you have.. i always make myself a little pretrip ritual that consists of reading like, lewis carrol the hunting of the snark and other nonsense verse (sweetest book ever) and then smoking some pot and metitating. not sure if it does anything or no.. i know once i prepared for a trip by meditating on the images in the book alchemy and mysticism, crazy symbolic images from all these wierd esoteric traditions, and throughout my whole trip i kept seeing like wierd symbols and shapes that seemed very symbolic and esoteric, like a flower with a sword throughit or a rose cross made of tree branches

i spoke to my friend about something similar to this last night.
whenever we do shrooms, we always get the headfuck as part of our trip, and i'm glad, its the most important aspect of the trip to me.
However, another friend did them who really couldnt care less about what goes on around him. he didnt know anything about mushrooms but still took them. he got loads of visuals but absolutely no headfuck. he absolutely loved them.
also; we wondered if you gave someone mushrooms, without them knowing, say in a salad or something. apart from the body load, would they see as much, or is it your mind which elevates the trip more?

Shpongle. Listen to Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible - DON'T get the mp3 because all the coolest shit is too quiet and subtle to make the conversaion - must purchase to get the full experience - it won't prepare you for anything, but put it on about an hour after ingestion and it can certainly help your thoughts flow, as well as give your brain tons of sounds to play with from my experience and everybody else I've played it for on psychedelics.

A few hard-core party people I once knew had this great idea of putting a quarter Oz of shrooms in a non drug / Christian friends sub sandwich. I had arrived at the house after the consumption took place. Everybody involved admitted that they would not have done this if I were around for fear of their asses being kicked  Anyway's 45 minutes later Russ said he was feeling lightheaded but that is all! they were good shrooms, everybody there would account for that. Maybe it was the foot long sub he ate or the perpetrators were lying about how much was put in the sub. Maybe it is all in the head and if you don't know what to expect you create your own buzz because that is whats familiar. Like when you see something in the dark, like when you see a snake then do a double take and you realize it is a rope. First your subconcious replaces the image with what is familiar then with what you know....?
...damn diazepam and beer are like carrots and peas!..

I honestly doubt that to happen. Your friends didn't put enough. Guarenteed, if you dose someone they will feel it. When I trip the only thing I am anticipating is the actual onset. 30 minutes later and I am on Psychedelic auto-pilot with no preconceptions of what the experience will actually unfold into. It's not in your head and its not doing a double take. Your mind will be altered no matter what. Personally, I think being dosed would be very exciting. It would remove all of your expectations to the actual onset.

Dosing someone without their knowledge is totally wrong.That's a really fucked up thing to do to someone. If it happened to me, I would be mad as fuck after the trip ended,even if I enjoyed the trip.

Yea, I agree, dosing someone without their knowledge is entirely dick, especially considering the even TINY possibility of psychosis or long term visual perception changes(HPPD), even if you highly doubt it would happen, and it hasnt happened to you, and you dont know anyone who has had it happen to them,it COULD happen.
If someone dosed me with LSD/shrooms without my knowledge or consent, and I got tracers or some fucked up vision, or psychosis, for the rest of my life, Id murder the mother fucker. Its my brain(and arguable, soul/self), dont you fuck with it. Of course this would entirely change if it was a drug that is guaranteed to leave you with absolutely no measurable changes, EVERY SINGLE TIME anyone has ever taken it (Overdoses disregarded, that can be avoided)
