Everyone will tell you to get a scale. Get one if you can. If you know how much you have (a bag with 14 grams or whatever) then you can try the VERY innacurate "piles" method. Just divide the bag in half (equal looking piles) then you know approximately how much is in each pile, in this case seven grams. Then divide one pile in to and you've got two piles with an eighth, etc.

This is a very poor, inadequate method of measuring dosage and you could easily end up with way too much or way too little. Shrooms are notorious for disguising their weight. Two shrooms can look the same and one might weigh twice as much. Get a scale.

Scales are the way to go, but generally expensive.

If you grind up your dried powder, every gram's about the same strenght. A "regular" OO capsule (the kind that contains algi, herbs etc. in health food stores) will hold about 0.5-0.8grams of this powder if tightly pressed. Such capsules can then be stored in a small bottle or glass/metal jar in a freezer (preferably under -20'C or about 4'F) or fridge for a long time, and then be taken by the number. ("yup! It's a six cap day, today...") The coming up is longer (about 45min for first convincing fx) but the duration of the trip is a bit longer then, too.
I tend to make 0.5gr caps and roll them between my fingers to loosen the powder up prior to ingestion.

Not as good as a scale, but quite easy to handle reliably.
