No Word on The Dead this summer.... uh oh...

well, listening to the local weekly concert show on the radio. one of the two guys who runs it does the booking for most major acts in my state of CT. someone called in asking about the dead, and he said he had heard nothing about a possible summer tour. i was upset to say the least

what happened to the big 40th anniversary tour?

the host said he expected elements of the dead to tour (Phil and friends, ratdog maybe) but said that not having anything scheduled as of now makes things not look good for a possible tour...

They will play.the dead are booked for 2 nights at alpine valley. i cant say anything about a big tour though. we can only hope since this year is probably the last one.

yup...im counting on the 40th

bob wier said there would be something very special for the 40th so i have no doubt there will be a tour with "something special" to go with them.

with the look of the quantity of LSD and this possibly being the last tour for the dead ever and it being 40th anniversary...there is no doubt in my mind this summer will be a very nice one to say the least!

yeah thats been a rumor for a loooooong time
i dont think it will ever happen nor would it work very well as treys style of playing does not mesh very well with the deads imho

what he said was broader than that. he's in the industry and said "Nothing out of the Dead Camp" and "they are usually very business-like in releasing dates to us promoters" releasing dates early. well, who knows at this point.

i don't think hartford sucks. yeah, a lot of tour kids get busted there, but as for the shows, i saw a great show two years ago at the meadows.

oh those shows were awsome for sure
but they were no dead shows
phil and trey are good freinds and they play together nicly
phish shows with phil on bass also are pretty sweet
but i cant see trey jamming with the rest of the core 4
together i just wouldent mesh me thinks :shrug:
