coco fiber tek?

I've been looking all over and I can't find a coco fiber tek anywhere. Just random blurts and threads about it with conflicting advice. I've read in some instances that adding some lime is the way to go to help contams. Also read various opinions on sterilization and other additives. Does anyone know of a tek that has a good recipe and/or have their own methods of using this?? Please be specific about additives such as lime and thickness of casing.

Like McMan said, there's no need for a tek, but here's one anyway. **HeGz Coco Fiber Tek** Hopefully hippie's board doesn't dissappear because there's a good archive of grow tips there.

be careful with storing rehydrated coir... someone posted it was the source of a weevil infestation (ew) in their home... whats great is you can saw off just what you need, and store the still compressed brick, so no worries about the compressed brick possibly housing nasties.

Just a little info on Coco fibers. They are almost completely resistant to fungus and molds. (this enables the coconuts to cross oceans without rotting) Seems like a perfect casing medium:)
Huh? Who just said that? Wow man!
