R.I.P. Jake Langworthy

Jake Langworthy, 18, of Williston, FL was murdered Wednesday (01/05/05) evening in his home. Jake was an awesome friend and he will be missed. The motives of the murder are unknown, but we believe this was drug related. The four males that did this invaded his home, beat him up, cut him, and then shot him execution style in the back of the head. They will pay for what they've done. They had no right to take such a beatiful life. God help them.
Jake, our thoughts and prayers are with your family. I wish there was something I could have done to prevent this. I'm sorry. Good luck in the afterlife, man.
We love you.

Wow, that is horrible, absolutely horrible. My deepest sympathies, condolences and best vibes to you, Jake and who cared about him......that is such a terrible thing to do to someone. I don't know how people can do this. Karma will definitely catch up to those assholes someday, whether they are caught or not, they will pay. Try to keep your head up in these difficult times my friend.

Holy shit, Williston is Very close to where I'm from! That is terrible news. I hate how Florida has become... in certain areas kids think they are gangsters or something and get ahold of guns and feel the need to prove themselves by pulling triggers.
May his soul find peace in his next incarnation.

Yes, he was dealing, but what's really sad is that he just decided to stop dealing and go back to college. He was getting his life together. The murderer has been caught and confessed; the others involved have also come forward. Apparently, the kid that pulled the trigger was 17 years old and just moved here from New York. He came to school Wednesday with a gun in his backpack and showed several people, just a few hours before he used that same gun to murder Jake. If only someone had told a teacher or someone with authority that he had the gun then this could have all been prevented. The little fuck then came to school Thursday bragging about how he killed someone. Please, if any of you have kids, make sure they know to go to someone if they see a weapon in their school; and if you are still in school, please do the same. This really goes for any situation, not just school. Sticking up for a 'friend' or not wanting to be a narc is what got Jake killed; it is not worth a life being lost. This could have and should have been prevented.
