Your ideas sound good. I do not understand the technical issues behind initiating a welcome email, although it could very well be built into the board software. However, that decision is one left to our technical administrators, 3DSHROOM and matts.

As far as a Shroomery store goes, at the current time the money generated from our ad sales is enough to keep the community afloat, and I'm not sure if I'd like to see myself or any other staff member profiting for their services here. I believe that keeping it a voluntary operation helps us to keep our focus. Afterall, cash can manipulate people to act on behalf of monetary interest, and not what is the most beneficial action for the community.

I actually wrote up a fairly extensive document oulining the Administrative Rules & Guidelines, a portion of which is displayed publicly in the sticky thread at the top of this forum. Over time and as situations dictate, the Guidelines will be modified accordingly and will serve as a rule sheet for future staff members.
