Yes , son, food dehydrators work. But, how well they work will be up to you to find out. I'm suprised you haven't aleady read posts about food dehydrators. Then again, maybe you didn't read at all. .......

this is a question about drying too. i know u can put shrooms in honey to preserve them but could u substitute honey for drierite. i herd honey pulls moisture from the air (Said it on food channel, if cake made wit honey).

dry them until they're "cracker" dry. they should snap when you try to bend them. I doubt honey would work like dry rite does

you can but it takes forever. better to put them under a fan on a stack of newspapers, then finish them off with dessicant or a warm oven. MJ says he lets them sit on a stack of newspapers for 3 days. then he turns the oven to 350 for 20 minutes. then turns it off, opens door a crack and waits 5 minutes. then slides them into the oven on a stack of newspapers for 5 minutes with the door cracked open

It should work...just make sure you can turn the heat off. Heat will break down the psilocin/cybin.

Doesn't anyone read anymore? Look...I'll help you out: www.shroomery.org Still can't figure it out? http://www.shroomery.org Still? http://www.shroomery.org/dosageandingestion.php Need more help? http://www.shroomery.org/dosageandingestion.php?View=recipes Not good enough? http://www.shroomery.org/dosageandingestion.php?View=nocook If you still need help from here...you've got problems, and probably shouldn't be eating these mushrooms. Just in case - http://www.erowid.com/entheogens/mushrooms/mushroom_info.shtml#honey Ahh screw it, if that's too difficult to click, just read this: Mushrooms Forever (Honey Mushrooms) Coarsely chop dried (or fresh, I imagine) mushrooms and loosely pack into some beautiful little jar which is shallow enough that you can reach its bottom with your finger. Add honey to fill all spaces. Hide in a dark, cool place and try to forget about it for a month or two. Eat by fingerful for brightened colors, elevated humor, musical enhancement, new friends and so on. When you finish a bag, add the crumbs to your mushroomhoney jar. Occasionally replenish it with mushrooms and top off with honey. You could also just toss em' in a jar of honey till it turns a dark blue. (If you're too lazy to read this post, then I'm sorry, but I can't help you).

Since we're talking about drying and I just did some over the weekend I'll tell you what I did, put em in front of a fan on high and by the end of the day they were pretty much dried up and shriveled but NOT cracker dry. My question is "is the removal of all moisture content necessary if they are going to be eaten fairly soon, lets say a week? Also, is the main purpose of "cracker dry" basically for long term storage? Simple questions should hopefully have simple answers. Thanx
Tell me something good then I might agree with you..

If they're to be eaten in a week, that's dry enough. put em in a paper bag in the fridge. Yes cracker dry is for long term storage
