Any first time psychedelic users use Salvia as their first? If so, what do you recommend? How did it go? I have 1x leaf and 5x extract.

as first psychedelic I would try pot, if you like that you can try shrooms.
maybe you'll like salvia, try it out. remember that a breaktrough experiance is completely different from other psychedelics. It's not really 'fun' or 'nice' as shrooms or pot are imo.

It wasn't what I had planned to do but some salvia 5x extract was my first try at a psychoactive substance (if you don't count some hbwr and morning glories seeds who did absolutely nothing every single time I tried them and some hash who just made my mind empty and my muscles heavy).
I loved it! but only because what I was seeing and experiencing was so similar to lucid dreaming and plain old dreaming, and I'm an avid dreamer.
Which is how I managed not to freak out when my face merged with the carpet and that I began to think I couldn't breathe anymore (dude! remember when you were an orca and breathing underwater in that dream? So relax, you can breathe into your carpet, it's not real!).
I did salvia four or five times now, I do not find it fun but interesting.
I don't know if I would recommend it as a first time though.

Aside from alcohol or caffeine, salvia 5x was my first psychoactive substance, and my very first hallucinogen. I had no problem with it, and I had a very good trip... I still smoke salvia with no bad trips having occurred, and occasionally eat mushrooms, drink, etc. Hallucinogens are by far my favorite.
Keep in mind that as far as hallucinogens go... salvia does bring about a loss of control, somewhat and is less "Fun" and more experience based. It will make you trip... It gave me a good trip my first time, but you have to realize that if you are looking for fun, look again. Try mushrooms or something.
All bullshit aside... I love salvia and probably will smoke it for a LONG time. I have no problem with its smoke, the taste, or the vibes given off by the trips. But that is me. You have to experience these things for yourself. Do some research on salvia at http://www.erowid.org before you decide to go ahead and smoke it, though. If you need tips on smoking salvia, PM me.

The 5X extract is better because you need to smoke less Salvia for the same effects. Salvia is not a 'fun' drug! Many people here don't like Salvia at all and never smoke it. I would start with mushrooms, but Salvia is no problem if you start with a low dose.

I tryed 20x extract for my first experience... 
That was kinda silly, but i got a full feel for the experience. Like they say, you learn to swim better if you jump in the deep end 
I would rather i had a full blown experience for a first time rather that pussying up to it, i would rather come out of it saying "wow, that's some crazy shit  " then coming back saying "ahh, that was bollox, not doing that shit again  "
Anyways, that's just my opinion

well tried it today with a buddy, put leaf with 5x on top, he was using it first, he experienced a stoned feeling and just started laughing but NO visuals at all.. he chewed leaf, smoked like 2 bowls with 5x on top and he got just that...then it was my turn... i took 1 bowl with 5x on top and felt lik i was warping in but then i just stayed stoned... we even smoked a blunt of plain leaf after and nothing... just stoned.... wtf is up???

Forget about the plain leaf, forget about blunts. Just pack a bowl of the 5x, take two huge hits and hold them in as long as possible. Make sure you keep the flame lit while toking. If that doesn't work, take another hit. If that doesn't work, you may need a stronger extract.

Dark Star, whats the right way? i tried smoking with a carrot pipe i made before using the blunt....
Anyways... I have about 1-2 bowls of 5x left... and a few hits of plain leaf, think i should try it tommorow?

i got it from a buddy, i think he got it from mazatecgardens
yea i smoked it by keeping lighter on it the whole, keeping smoke in for atleast 20 seconds...

Keep the smoke as long as you can! I'm already in my Salvia dimension when I exhale. I think I hold the smoke for 40seconds.
Make sure there is not much light in the place where you trip. Let your sitter be as quiet as possible and don't let him move. This will help to get a serious Salvia trip.

I find the best way is to suck it all into a bowl/bong and with the same suck release the lighter and then take it all back, with the same inhale, dont brew it, take a breath and inhale the smoke, i tend to find that donesent work for me.
Like i said before, use a stong strength... the strongest you can get your hands on.

pick up a 7 dollar torch at your local gas station.
then you'll have the awesome ability to burn alot of sally and get it in your lungs all at once.
also, use a gravity bong or regular water pipe.

A pipe and a regular lighter should work just fine with extract. Your salvia is either weaker than real 5x or you may be a "hard head". In either case, I'd try getting some 10x from a different source. Start with small doses and work your way up.
