DVD?RW Drives

So I'm thinking about buying a DVD?RW drive. I really haven't been keeping up with these types of drives, but is there anything I should look for?
Tom's Hardware had an article back in the beginning of november(http://www4.tomshardware.com/storage/index.html), and I certainly hope that better drives are out now. Anyone know of a good site that does testing with DVD drives and has results for speed and performance, or just help point me in the right direction?

VCDHelp has a ton of user reviews of DVD burner models. http://www.videohelp.com/
You can find many of the popular ones for cheap on http://pricewatch.com/

I have an NEC-1300 and it suits my needs fine.
