DVD Shrink problem

I just downloaded DVD Shrink, and am trying to get it to work. When I hit the back up button, it begins to transfer the information off of the encrypted dvd onto my dvd-r disc, but about a minute into it I get the message "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Programming error - exception occorred." What do I do?

bad dvd. maybe you shouldnt burn directly to dvd but make a iso first so you dont waist media

How the heck did you get that I am doing something illegal out of what I posted? Dvd shrink is perfectly legal to download for free. All that I am doing is recording movies that I rent from blockbuster. It is just as bad as dubbing a rented video on vhs. I see no harm in this as long as I don't sell it or show it to a paying audience.

and to answer your question, you need to do this:

Get a pirated version of alcohol 120% and install it, it will install a ghost DVD drive.

then get a a free program called DVD Decrypter and install it.

then use it to ripp the DVD into a ISO.

then open my computer and you will see you have a new DVD ROM drive. Its a ghost drive. Right click on it and choose mount image and find the ISO file you have created with DVD Decrypter.

then open DVD shrink and go from there.
