Injecting Cakes

What will be the benefit of injecting sping water into a cake while it is fruiting? I injected 2cc into a 1/4 pint jar hoping to get bigger fruits.

I don't have any first hand experience with this, so I can be wrong...but I'm pretty sure that it's really unnecessary to add water to a cake unless it is dehydrated. My guess is that by adding more water to a hydrated cake, if it does give bigger mushies, it's only cause they're "fat asses" (full of water) and that's just a waste. I'd rather have small potent ones than huge ones that aren't as potent.
