hmmm, i think im a bit struggling.
i have a terrarium going with perlite on the bottom, and 10 PF cakes on wire mesh. i have a really lousy robotussin coolmist which is just bad. styrofoam container. cant see any humidity on the walls, or on the plexiglass. the cakes have been in there 2 weeks and some of them have just gotten a bunch of white fuzz, but that was after a few days. ive been waiting and waiting... seriously. fan 3-4 times a day. temp b/w 70-76, tried lowering ambient temp to 62 for about 12 hours, they get indirect sunlight for about 10 hours a day... these are not casings. but i did case some of them (there were more in there, but they werent doing anything) in a separate terrarium powered only by perlite, and i have 1 pin after 1 week. myci fuzz pretty good though...
help!

What is your humidity?
You might want to mist the sides of your terrarium.

Give it time, they will defintaly come. Just make belive there not even there and check on them in a week, and i bet you will have pins all waiting for you

i dont know the exact humidity. have misted the walls a few times over the 2 weeks. the casing terrarium i have with perlite, im sure has enough humidity. some water droplets on the side of the walls. doesnt drip, just hangs there.
but the cake terrarium is styrofoam, there is only water on the sides when i mist and maybe a day after. ....

you should mist 3 or 4 times a day aside from your perlite. if its been 2 weeks since youve seen any growth then the problem might be lack of water. i would inject cakes with 10cc of water via sterile syrige and mist 3x a day...just my input...let us know how it goes

I agree but instead of injecting them dunk them in a 1to 100 bleach solution 1oz a gallon is cool 1 gal is 160oz this works fine for me for about 24hrs get your temp up to 85 degreesand spray the lid every time you fan with 100cc to1gal peroxide water solution keep the humidity at 100 percent spraying works really good not to hard id get rid of the perlite and use a fish pump with a buble rock in it in like a cut up 2 litter coke bottle with peroxide of course youll see pins about 4 days latter mabey a little longer like 7 days glad to help i hope i have
