Re: Are my cakes pinning? or is it something else?

I've had something similar with those things sticking out in two cases- the first time the cakes took two weeks to have a week flush so I don't know what was wrong with them. The second time I ended up casing the cakes but they were healthy.

Anyhow I don't think they are pins. You'll know a pin when you see one. I've never been able to identify one before its cleary a pin though, I wouldn't worry about it. Just be patient.

those are little strands of mycelium reaching out to see if theres anyplace else to grow. you'll get pins pretty soon.

Thanks A Bunch for taking time to reply to my post! I would have been bummed out if my post would have gone ignored like some of my earlier posts have.. I'm stoked on seeing some pinning soon. Isn't the fact that the mycelium is exposed to light good enough of a clue for it to start pinning? I'm not sure about them pinning too soon as i've had these little pins of mycelium for a while. Well thanks a lot.. hopefully my shrooms won't have any problems fruiting and you guys won't have to deal with another series of posts.. PEACE

I have these little brown marble things going on a casing that I have got too. Did anything come of them?
