will partial cakes pin?
    #460276 - 11/16/01 08:56 AM (23 years, 4 months ago)

Heres my dogs situation. he has 3 chunks of colonized rye flour cakes. he had cut out the colonized area because it had stalled severly, he beleives it was packed too tight
These three chunks about equal 3/4 to one full cake. He's had them in a quart sized mason jar for about a week he would say, with 2inches of perlite and 1/2 water. He gives them new air 3 times or more a day. And they get the daily sunlight.
The chunks have grown more mycelium on them and no signs of contams. He is curious if these will grow any shrooms? The little chunks seem to have tiny peices of mycelium that grow in the shape of tiny tiny pins. They go streight up, some look like a tiny tiny white mushroom.
Oh and He forgot to say they are b+ and that the temp is always at 70-76f depending on time of day, sorry.

so what do you think?

thank you for any help I appreciate it
