High,
I just made my first cake and I thought the same. But all went well and got some lovely shrooms.

Sometimes even the best lighted source, and covered sides of a container will yeild upsidedown pinns. It sounds normal, If you birthed it on one side, leave it alone. Not to contradict myself, but after a couple of flushes, my frield has turned both cakes and casings complelely over, and recieved extra flushes. She assumes its from the older casings drying out, and the still moist bottom keeps the fruiting process going a little longer on the bottom.bluhoney
