cake dunking or injection? milk or water?

hi.
what do people find they have better yeilds with cakes, dunking or injection? and what do you dunk, inject with, when, and how much?

I think dunking the cake, distributes water more evenly in the cake, +EVERYWHERE ,it works with very good results (if not the best) for many...

what kind of water do you use? im guessing it's either bottled water or you boil it?? im a newbie and some of my cakes just yielded their first flush... which i just ate.... thanks

Well well....have a nice trip!  :wink:
Actually, people i know used to use bottled water, but now that they use plain tap-water, they dont really c any difference...They dont have any contam problems, and the cakes are on their 3rd flush (dunked 3 times/1 right after birthing , in a big bowl, and in the frige, covered very well with saran wrap, to initiate pinning providing lower temp to cakes...) no problem
And, dont forget to give us a trip report toastytrip~!  hehe  :smile:

I believe i get better yeilds on my first flushes cause.... I inject water into my cakes.

Then i dunk inbetween flushes.

Joshua has some pictures of my cakes.....go look in the picture forum tomorrow.

Then tell me that injecting cakes doesn't work.

milk dunking rocks the house! i soak the cakes in skim milk in the fridge for 8 or so hours and they blow up like a fat man at a buffet.
